Post 1 Week 1

The Alabama Learning Exchange, also known as ALEX, is a website that aids teachers. From visiting this site, teachers can choose from a variety of different help links. The "course of study" gives teachers practice problems and questions for each grade level in every subject. There are additional web links posted on ALEX that would further aid them also. ACCESS learning is the option for students to engage in online courses. This is also offered on this site.

Some other things teachers may take advantage of on this website, www.alex.state.al.us, are the personal workspace and professional learning links. A teacher can create her own personal account through ALEX and learn how to create, submit, and improve her lesson plans. The professional learning link desplays the Alabama Department of Education Program Websites to equip teachers with learning tools, ideas, and teaching tips. Overall, this site is an excellent source for teachers and students to use all over the U.S.

This might really be helpful (creating lesson plans) during the summer when she is preparing for the school year. Instead of trying to rush to get ready for school, teachers can relax and take their time since they have this valuable tool.
